thu pm. 06.03.10

this morning's rainfall of 1/2" (13mm) was the most we've received at one time since the 5th of may. and it appears that is only the beginning of what we can expect during the next 2-3 days. the forecast is becoming more and more complicated, but the basic scenario is this: a strong disturbance aloft will continue to push into the area, tapping tropical moisture being pulled in from the arabian sea. that means a very good chance of occasional showers and thunderstorms... some of which could produce heavy rain, hail and some very gusty winds. temperatures were quite a bit cooler today, and will be unseasonably cool as we head into the weekend. the first part of next week is a big question mark, but for now will attempt to bring in some drier and slightly warmer air...

THURSDAY NIGHT: partly to mostly cloudy skies with a good chance of more thunderstorms developing.
low: 18C (64F)

FRIDAY: mostly cloudy and cooler with periods of showers and thunderstorms likely.
high: 23C (73F)

SATURDAY: still a good chance of showers and storms. unseasonably cool with lots of clouds.
high: 22C (72F)

SUNDAY: partly cloudy and a bit warmer. a thundershower is still possible.
high: 24C (76F)

MONDAY: mix of clouds and sun with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm.
high: 25C (77F)

TUESDAY: partly cloudy with a shower or storm still worth a mention.
high: 25C (77F)
