tuesday morning>

partly cloudy skies and 22c/71f before sunrise on this tuesday morning. our big dome of high pressure which has been the dominant weather feature for the past several days is gradually breaking down. that will make way for a few weak disturbances in the upper atmosphere to move through the area, each one having the potential to stir up a few thundershowers. temperatures will remain very warm for the next 2-3 days, but then we'll start to cool off, as deep moisture creeps in from the east. that deep moisture is associated with the leading edge of the monsoon, which appears to be ready to sweep across much of north india during the next week or so. SO... get ready for a dramatic rise in humidity, and the arrival of tropical rains, perhaps as early as late saturday or sunday. stay tuned for updates twice daily!
