wednesday morning>

partly cloudy skies and 20c/68f prior to sunrise on this wednesday morning. the satellite pic this morning shows quite a few clouds over himachal pradesh, punjab and kashmir, with a cluster of thunderstorms over central pakistan. no major changes in the forecast... we'll see a mix of clouds and sun along with increasing humidity during the next few days... with that ever-present possibility of showers and thunderstorms popping up and dumping moderate to heavy rains in just a few hours time. monsoon conditions could materialize at any time during the next 2-3 days, as moisture continues to creep northwestward. the cloud bases will be lowering, and fog will start to develop in the valleys. today is the last day of punjabi summer holidays, which is a non-meteorological indication that the monsoon is now free to make its move (!)...
