monday evening>

well lo and behold, we've not had any measurable rain so far today... despite a few sprinkles and very light showers off and on this afternoon. at 6pm we're socked in with fog and clouds but thanks to a few peeks of sunshine earlier today, the high temp made it to 22C/71F.

there is still a decent shot at some rain this evening and overnight... but the potential for significant rainfall appears to be really amping up as we move toward the middle of the week. an increasingly unstable airmass will produce more widespread shower and thundershower activity... with some steady rains possible on wednesday into thursday. there may be another brief break on friday before another round of moderate to heavy rains on saturday. we're moving into the phase of the monsoon season when floods, landslides/mudslides will become more likely, which could lead to road closures across parts of himachal pradesh... keep that in mind if you're planning to travel...
