sunday morning>

mostly clear skies and 17C/63F here in the heart of paradise early this morning. rainfall during the past 24 hours has been 0.05" (1mm) near the main temple, but just 0.02" up here below the mountaineering center. the last BIG rain we had was last sunday afternoon, when around 4" (10cm) was dumped on us during the afternoon.

so... how much longer can we get away with very little rain?? our time may be running out. it looks like our chances of more substantial shower and thundershower action will be increasing day by day during this new week. sunshine will still be a very good bet during the morning hours through about tuesday or so... but clouds and fog will begin to take over even the morning skies later in the week. computer models are in agreement that by late tuesday and wednesday, we'll be back in the thick of bonafide rainy monsoony conditions. it is still likely that there are another 20-25" (50-63cm) of rain in our future.... between now and mid-september.
