friday evening>

gorgeous evening in progress... after a rainy day. most of the measurable rain occurred between 230 and 500pm, with the following (quite consistent) totals:
-near the main temple... 1.4" (3.5cm)
-upper mcleod ganj... 1.25" (3.2cm)
-naddi village... 1.4" (3.5cm)
despite a bit of sun before 9am, and again this evening, the temp only struggled to a high of 21C/69F.

we are now only 10-12 days away from the "average" end of the monsoon season. but... the weather charts are not indicating any significant signs of a dramatic end to the humidity, fog, clouds and rains. there are signs that we could see a few more sunny breaks during the next several days, slightly warmer temps, along with perhaps less hours of thick fog, BUT... all the ingredients remain in place for occasional moderate to heavy showers and thundershowers on just about any day and/or night. when the monsoon moisture retreats for good, we will see a sharp drop in humidity, and a permanent end to the gloomy fog. that won't happen for awhile yet...

FRIDAY NIGHT: patchy fog and clouds, with a good chance of another round of showers or thundershowers overnight.
low: 17C (63F)

SATURDAY: a period or two of sunshine between clouds and fog. still a good chance of a few showers/thundershowers.
high: 21C (70F)

SUNDAY: partly sunny skies, with occasional fog. a thundershower or two possible.
high: 22C (72F)

MONDAY: a mix of sun, clouds and fog, with a decent chance of a shower or two.
high: 23C (73F)

TUESDAY: more of the same. mix of sun, clouds, fog and an occasional shower.
high: 23C (73F)

WEDNESDAY: periods of sun, mixed with clouds and a bit of fog. showers possible, mainly in the PM.
high: 23C (74F)
