friday morning>

it's mostly cloudy and 17C/62F early this morning. there are a few sprinkles around the area, but i have no additional measurable rainfall here in upper mcleod ganj from the overnight hours.

you might be interested to know that we've had only 3 totally rainless days since the beginning of july... 13-14 july, and 27 august. there were 5 other days when rainfall occurred, but was barely measurable. not sure why i'm mentioning that... since i'm pretty confident the next few days won't be totally rainless, but i thought it was interesting nonetheless...

the satellite pics are showing a rather "messy" scenario across northern india this morning... lots of clouds, and widely scattered thundershowers. expect more in the way of occasional showers and thundershowers right through the forecast period... as the flow of monsoon moisture continues to bump up against the mountains. in fact, one of the computer models is suddenly producing a period of VERY heavy rain on sunday into monday... not sure if i buy that just yet, but it bears watching. temperatures will be entirely dependent on the amount of sunshine we can get... but could jump into the mid-20sC (mid-70sF) with some help...

FRIDAY: a few peeks of sun in between clouds and occasional fog. good chance of a period or two of showers and thundershowers.

low: 17C (62F)
