saturday morning (18sep)>

we have partly cloudy skies, a few patches of fog, and 16C/60F early this morning.  not a drop of rain has fallen since wednesday evening... making this the longest RAINLESS stretch of weather we've had since late 12th through the 15th of july.

the satellite pics are showing a bit of action this morning, in the form of an increasing amount of clouds and fog, along with some scattered showers from eastern parts of our state into uttar anchal.  there are also a few showers occurring over kashmir, in association with a disturbance in the upper atmosphere.  so... things are a bit more unstable than they've been in a couple of days... and i expect that trend to continue during the next few days. that means we have a better chance of a few showers or thunderstorms sneaking back into the area, and it's worth mentioning that a period of heavy rain is not out of the question between this afternoon and monday or tuesday.  of course we'll still see a good bit of sun here and there, but that dramatic turn to post-monsoon sunny skies and low humidity is not going to happen just yet.

SATURDAY: partly sunny skies til mid-day, then becoming mostly cloudy and foggy.  good chance of one or two showers or thundershowers developing.
high: 22C (71F)

SATURDAY NIGHT: partly to mostly cloudy skies with a good chance of a period of showers and storms.
low: 16C (60F)

SUNDAY: a few peeks of sunshine, otherwise mostly cloudy and foggy with a few showers and thunderstorms likely.
high: 21C (69F)

MONDAY: a mix of sun, clouds and fog, with scattered showers and thunderstorms around...
high: 21C (69F)

TUESDAY: a continuing mixed bag of sun, clouds and fog, along with scattered thundershowers.
high: 20C (68F)

WEDNESDAY: partly to mostly cloudy with periods of fog.  still a good chance of a thundershower or two.
high: 21C (69F)
