wednesday evening (6oct)>

skies are partly cloudy just before sunset... after a potent late afternoon/early evening thundershower dumped 0.31" (8mm)of rain here in upper mcleod ganj.  we also had some small hail right around 5pm.  otherwise it has been a normal day... tons of morning sun, increasing clouds during the afternoon, and a high temp of 21.4C/70.5F.

i have to say that i am reluctant to take afternoon thundershowers out of the forecast.  although our computer models continue to try to push this recent instability further east, there are indications that cold air will remain entrenched in the upper atmosphere for another day or two... which will be enough to stir up trouble during the mid-late afternoon hours.  so... i'm not going to clear this thundershowery stuff out of here just yet.  if it DOES disappear, then we can be pleasantly surprised.  having said that, there should be a definite trend toward less moisture in the air, along with some slightly cooler temps, by early next week...

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: showers ending early... then becoming mostly clear by 8pm.
low: 14C (58F)

THURSDAY: lots of morning sunshine.  increasing clouds around noon, with a thundershower or two possible after 2pm...
high: 21C (70F)

FRIDAY: morning sun, with increasing clouds and a chance of a brief thundershower in the PM.
high: 21C (70F)

SATURDAY: sunny in the morning... partly cloudy in the afternoon.  slight chance of a PM shower.
high: 21C (70F)

SUNDAY: sunny to partly cloudy skies.
high: 20C (68F)

MONDAY: mostly sunny and cooling down just a bit...
high: 19C (67F)
