a respite... (pm.21.feb.11)>

we have partly cloudy skies late this afternoon, after a gorgeous sunny morning, and a comfortable high temp of 57.3F (14C).  today's high was exactly 10F warmer than yesterday!  welcome indeed.

we're "in between" weather disturbances at the moment... and it looks like we'll get another 36 hours or so of relatively nice weather before things turn yet again.  another upper-level low pressure area is developing in the vicinity of iran, and is already starting to spread a canopy of high clouds across afghanistan and pakistan.  we'll see an increase in those high clouds tomorrow, and then an increasing chance of rain showers from wednesday through friday.  i don't see any long-lasting rains, just a prolonged period where occasional and scattered showers will be developing in and around the area.

temps will be pleasant again tomorrow, but will gradually cool down once again toward the end of the week, thanks to thicker cloud cover and precipitation...

TUESDAY: a mix of sun and high clouds.  still rather mild...
