quiet, for now... (pm.30.mar.11)>

the day is ending just as it began, with partly cloudy skies.  it really has been a nice day, with sunshine dominating, and no trace of rain, other than a few brief sprinkles in upper mcleod ganj early this evening.  i recorded a high temp of 69.6F (20.9C), which was slightly cooler than expected.

we actually have a very interesting weather pattern shaping up during the next few days.  tomorrow and most of friday should be quiet, but an unusually deep area of low pressure and upper-level disturbance will be moving in over the weekend.  the only thing that will keep this system from being super-dramatic is the lack of moisture available.  this is the time of year when it's hard to get deep, rich moisture up here... and despite dynamic energy approaching, heavy rainfall will be hard to come by.

right now, it seems the best chances of rain will come on saturday and sunday (bad news for weekend trekkers)... and i also think we'll see a pretty significant drop in temperatures starting on sunday, and lasting into the middle of next week.
