winter chill gone for good..? (pm.07.mar.11)>

our skies are partly cloudy at sunset this evening... after a day of alternating sunshine and high clouds, and a comfortable high temp of 60.1F (15.6C).  here at the top of mcleod ganj, today was the warmest day since the beginning of february, when we had a couple of days with high temps reaching 60-61F (~16C).

satellite pics are currently showing patches of mid- and high clouds moving across the western himalayan region... in association with a weak upper level disturbance which is slowly making its way from northern pakistan into north india.  there is nothing particularly menacing about this weather system, but a couple of the computer models continue to insist on some light shower activity during the next 36-48 hours or so, so i think it's best to keep mentioning at least a slight (20-30%) chance of a random light rain shower or two.  otherwise, things are going to remain quiet, with temperatures perhaps cooling off ever-so-slightly in the next couple of days, but then warming again as we approach the weekend.  not much to complain about, really...
