as good as it gets... (am.23.apr.11)>

our current 61.7F (16.5C) is the warmest early morning temp since way back on the 27th of march.  skies are clear just before sunrise.

this time last week we were gearing up for thunderstorms, heavy rain and a few days of very cool temperatures, but this weekend we are instead bracing ourselves for a string of the warmest days of the year thus far.  a big bubble of high pressure continues to build and strengthen across much of central and south asia... creating a road block for any approaching storm systems, and also allowing temperatures to steadily climb.  other than the obligatory random afternoon thundershower somewhere along the himalayan chain, skies will be mostly sunny for the next several days.

we have yet to experience any days with above normal temperatures this month, but that will change starting today or tomorrow... and continue right into the middle of next week.  if you plan to head down to dharamsala, kangra and beyond, be prepared for truly summer-like temps... with highs approaching 35C (95F) by monday and tuesday!
