downright nice... (pm.29.apr.11)>

an incredibly pleasant evening in progress... with partly cloudy skies and temperatures slowly cooling down from an afternoon high of 82.2F (27.9C).  that's the warmest temp (by a hair) of 2011!  there was a small cluster of thundershowers which developed over the dhaualadar range early this afternoon, but the winds aloft carried them eastward, away from us, as they fizzled out around 3:30pm.

there are no major changes expected in our general weather pattern for the next several days.  we'll continue to see the typical late spring - early summer mix of sunshine, haze, occasional clouds, and at least a small chance of afternoon and evening thundershowers... along with pleasantly warm temperatures.  small disturbances and pools of colder air in the upper atmosphere are notoriously difficult to specifically track down and time... but be aware that a sudden thundershower can occur on any given afternoon, in the midst of an otherwise near-perfect day.  moisture is severely limited though, so any rainfall amounts should be very light.

all of the computer models continue to call for temperatures to keep climbing... and even with mountain-effects, i think we will remain at least a degree or two above normal as we move into the month of may...
