a shower or two?... (am.5.apr.11)>

it's totally cloudy before sunrise this morning, with a temp of 56.5F (13.6C).  we did have some strong winds, along with a few sprinkles of rain move through around 2:00am, but the rain was (again) not enough to measure.

the latest in a series of upper-level disturbances will be moving across himalayan north india today and tomorrow... giving us another batch of clouds, along with a chance of a couple of showers and thundershowers.  it will continue to feel more like early march than early april... quite pleasant in the direct sunlight, but indeniably chilly under the clouds and in the shade.  and sunshine should be more limited today than it was yesterday.

this late winter-like jetstream pattern will gradually weaken and shift northward by the latter half of the week, and that will allow warmer temperatures to start building over the plains of north india again.  unfortunately, we may see yet another storm system set its sights on us over the coming weekend...
