weekend action... (am.20.may.11)>

it's hazy, with just a few clouds around at sunrise this morning.  the early morning low temp has been 74.1F (23.4C)... the warmest of the year.  it has definitely been rather uncomfortable sleeping weather for a few nights now.

we're awaiting some changes during the coming 24-36 hours which will include a better and better chance of some thunderstorms, along with a bit of a drop in temperatures.  cooling in the upper atmosphere is underway already, and we're still watching a fairly strong upper-level disturbance which will drop southeastward through northern india on saturday and sunday.  it's a rather complicated weather pattern, but the bottom line is this: we should see some decent thunderstorm activity, especially between late today and sunday, AND we will likely get a brief shot of some cooler air.  unfortunately, we're lacking the moisture needed for heavy rainfall, so at this point, i don't expect more than about a half inch (1cm) or so.  let's see if that changes.

by monday, things will start to calm down again... with lots of sun and temps on the rise into the middle of next week.  only five weeks til the potential onset of the monsoon!
