after a little more than two months away, i am so glad to be back in monsoon-logged mcleod ganj today. actually, i don't feel like i missed the monsoon, since i got to experience lots of very heavy rainfall in cambodia and eastern parts of thailand. i arrived from delhi this morning to dry weather and even a bit of sunshine, and spent a good part of the day cleaning up my musty, moldy, mildewy, semi-waterlogged apartment.
rain and thunderstorms developed this afternoon, with heavy rain, along with some intense thunder and lightning between about 3:00 and 4:30pm. i recorded about 1.90" (4.8cm) of rain as of 5:00pm.
i'll be digging through data and trying to get my head back around north india weather conditions and patterns during the next day or so... and will hopefully be back in the swing of twice-daily forecasts within the next couple of days. thanks for continuing to visit the weathergeek... it is good to be back!
