increasing wetness... (am.7.sep.11)>

yesterday's high temp: 75F (23.9C)
this morning's low temp: 67.1F (19.5C)
24 hour rainfall as of 6:00am: 0.51" (1.3cm)

we've had no more rain overnight, and just before sunrise this morning, skies are partly cloudy, with a very high humidity reading of 97%.  the total rainfall for the month of september thus far is 3.98" (10.1cm)... and i think there is a decent chance of doubling that during the next 48-72 hours.

conditions are ripe for the development of moderate to heavy rain between now and the weekend, as the latest surge of monsoon moisture and energy arrive.  all computer guidance is in agreement that we should see at least a couple of rounds of significant rainfall... with the accompanying thick fog that we all love so much.  the good news is that there will also be a few periods of sunshine in the midst of it all, but don't expect it to last long.  there could also be some thunder and lightning involved in this latest round, so keep that in mind if you are going to be venturing into the mountains away from shelter.

WEDNESDAY: some morning sun mixed with the clouds... but becoming mostly cloudy and foggy with a good chance of rain developing.  thunder is possible as well.
high: 23C (74F)

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: mostly cloudy with fog at times.  a period of rain likely.
low: 18C (64F)

THURSDAY: mostly cloudy with periods of fog and rain.  chance of a thunderstorm.
high: 22C (72F)

FRIDAY: generally cloudy skies with occasional fog and rain.
high: 22C (72F)

SATURDAY: mostly cloudy with some fog.  good chance of more rain.
high: 23C (73F)

SUNDAY: a mix of clouds, sun and fog.  a shower or two around.
high: 23C (74F)
