lingering dampness... (pm.20.sep.11)>

the sun is trying to break through again this evening, after another day which has included lots of variety.  the morning was mostly sunny and pleasant, but clouds and fog developed again right around the noon hour, leading to a period of occasional light rain showers starting around 2:20pm.  even now, as sunset approaches, there are still some sprinkles in the air.  total rainfall at the wxgeek office on tushita road was just 0.12" (3mm), and i recorded a high temp of 72.5F (22.5C).

we have obviously still not been able to get rid of this stubborn lingering moisture that has been responsible for the clouds, fog and scattered showers during the afternoons.  although rainfall amounts have been very light, nothing even close to what we were seeing last week, we still haven't reached the point where we can be assured of totally sunny and dry, post-monsoon conditions.  computer models continue to advertise a quiet, steadily and gradually drying weather pattern as we head into the latter part of the week.  just keep the umbrella in tow for the next few days... especially if you'll be out and about between roughly 1 and 6pm.
