more clouds... (am.6.sep.11)>

yesterday's high temp: 72.5F (22.5C)
this morning's low temp: 66.4 (19.1C)
24 hour rainfall as of 6:30am: trace

it's another cloudy morning... but we're now going on 48 hours without significant rainfall, which i think has been a very welcome respite.  humidity this morning stands at 83%, so despite the lack of rain, there is still plenty of moisture in the air.

i think the challenge for all of us in the near-term is NOT to get seduced into thinking the rains are winding down for good.  every single indication points to the development of more moderate to heavy rainfall as this week progresses.  in fact, one of the newer computer models is showing up to 20cm (7.8") of rain getting dumped on roughly the western half of himachal pradesh during the wednesday to friday period.  that could be overblown, but combined with other factors in place, it's at least a heads-up on what could be on the horizon.

TUESDAY: mostly cloudy with a few periods of fog.  chance of some showers, mainly during the PM.
high: 23C (73F)

TUESDAY NIGHT: partly cloudy with a few rain showers possible.
low: 18C (65F)

WEDNESDAY: mostly cloudy with occasional fog.  periods of rain becoming more likely.
high: 22C (72F)

THURSDAY: cloudy and foggy with periods of rain... possibly heavy.
high: 22C (71F)

FRIDAY: mostly cloudy skies with fog and rain likely.  heavy rain potential continues.
high: 22C (71F)

SATURDAY: partly to mostly cloudy with some fog at times.  a few showers around.
high: 22C (72F)
