transitioning... (am.18.sep.11)>

it's partly cloudy just before the sun peeks over the mountains this morning.  there were a few more sprinkles of rain overnight, and i recorded a low temp of 62.8F (17.1C).

we'll continue to fight this lingering low-level moisture for the next couple of days... which means despite some nice periods of sunshine, there will still be some clouds, occasional fog, and perhps a couple of (mainly light) showers to contend with.  all signs point to a continued drying out trend as we get into the middle and latter parts of the week... with no indication of a major resurgence of heavy or long-lasting monsoon rainfall.  so, although we're not yet to our crisp bright blue skies of autumn, we are making progress.

remember to check the MONSOON'S DEMISE tab at the top of the page if you're interested in an ongoing discussion of the official status of the withdrawal of monsoon conditions across the subcontinent.
