There are a lot of clouds around this evening, which have been thickening up ever since mid-day. We did get enough sunshine this morning to boost our high temperature to 72.1F (22.3C), and the humidity has remained low... close to 30%. (My low temp this morning was 60.4F /15.8C, an hour before sunrise.)
It really has been like two days in one... with sunshine and warmth this morning giving way to the cloudy skies and slightly chillier temps this afternoon. The changes are due to an increasingly disturbed upper-atmosphere, which is going to be hanging with us during the coming 48 to 60 hours. We're not talking about a strong, well-organized system, but instead, a series of disturbances which will be tracking across nothern Pakistan and nothern India in the near term. There continues to be a lot of discrepancy between the various computer models. One model is forecasting 1-2cm (0.4-0.8") of rain for our area, while the others keep almost all of the measurable rainfall further north of us in the mountains. I think we have a very good shot of at least one or two periods of showers (and thunder) between now and late Tuesday or early Wednesday, so be prepared for sudden changes.!
