warming trend... (am.03.mar.12)>

Yet another beautiful sunrise in progress.  We have mostly clear skies, and I've recorded an early morning low temp of 49.1F (9.5C).

It's looking like a fine early March day ahead... with a good amount of sunshine, along with some slightly warmer temperatures.  The storm system organizing to our west is likely to send some high clouds our way from time to time, but it will also be tapping into the building warmth to our south on the plains, and drawing it northward into our area.  The next three days or so should feature the highest temps of the year thus far.

I'm a little concerned about a stray shower late today, but the real rain potential should hold off until Sunday.  The latest data now points to Sunday afternoon through Monday as the best window of opportunity for picking up some significant shower and thunderstorm action... perhaps an inch of rain or more in some locations.  If you have plans to be in the mountains, keep in mind that things could quickly turn sour tomorrow.

The chance of rain will diminish starting on Tuesday, with temperatures near or just slightly below normal for this time of year...
