clouds and sun... (am.07.apr.12)>

It's mostly cloudy early this morning, and I've recorded a mild low temp of 63.1F (17.3C).  There has been no rainfall overnight.

Some thick high clouds are drifting across Himachal Pradesh this morning... but the loss of sunshine looks like it will be temporary.  These clouds appear to be the remains of some thundershowers which occurred over parts of northern Pakistan last evening.  We should see more sun as we get into the mid-day hours, as a weak ridge of high pressure builds in.  Although there is still a risk of a passing shower or thundershower today, the general weather pattern looks pretty quiet through Easter Sunday.

On Monday, things will be changing.  A rather potent (and slow-moving) upper-level disturbance will be affecting northern India for much of next week... which will give us a better chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms.  It does look like we'll be under the influence of a very warm air mass, however, so expect temperatures to remain a few degrees above normal right though the forecast period.  Our last day with a high temp below 70F/21C was way back on the 28th of March!
