We have a mix of haze, sun, and very thin high cloudiness across the area early this Friday morning. The temperature is mild, once again -- I'm recording a predawn low of 69.4F (20.8C) -- and there has been no rainfall overnight.
It looks like we'll be seeing a mixed bag of weather conditions during the coming weekend. The upper-level pattern is shifting a bit, which will allow a series of (mainly) weak disturbances to slide through northern India over the course of the next several days. The pools of colder air aloft in association with these disturbances will probably be enough to trigger a few rounds of showers and thunderstorms from time to time. There will also be nice periods of warm sunshine in between, though. As always, just be on heightened alert, especially if you have plans to be up in the mountains away from shelter.
Cooling potential here at our elevation remains uncertain. The prevailing surface air mass is seasonably warm, but if we do manage to get hit with a major thunderstorm, then temps will cool off significantly. Still, I'm opting to trim temps just a bit over the weekend... although it should remain pretty close to normal for the first half of May...
