another warm streak... (am.13.jun.12)>

We have partly cloudy skies early this morning.  I've recorded a rather warm overnight low temp of 73.2F (22.9C), and there has been no rainfall.

Patches of mainly mid- and upper-level cloudiness indicate warming that continues to occur in the upper atmosphere as a broad area of high pressure builds across northern India.  This pattern should provide us with generally quiet weather for the next several days, apart from the risk of an isolated thundershower which could develop mainly from the afternoon into the overnight hours.  I'm not seeing anything on the horizon that will radically divert us away from this unusually dry June we've been experiencing so far.

Temperatures are on the rise again as well.  Although there may not be "official" heatwave conditions declared further south in the plains of north India, it is still going to be hot... and here along the edge of the mountains, we are likely to see our second-warmest streak of temps of this 2012 season.  Humidity will gradually be on the increase as well by the weekend... perhaps the first tastes of tropical moisture sneaking northward.
