expectations met... (pm.17.oct.12)>

Wednesday's stats:

Early morning low temp: 58.1F (14.5C)
Afternoon high temp: 68.2F (20.1C)
Rainfall: none

It has been a beautiful and almost totally normal/average mid-October day in McLeod Ganj.  Although there was some good cumulus cloud development over the mountains from the late morning into the late afternoon, the sunshine was definitely in control here in town -- with no thunder and no random sprinkles of rain at all today.  It's the time of year when it's actually still HOT in the direct sunlight, but suddenly quite cool in shadow.

Nothing out of the ordinary for the season is expected during the coming few days.  There will be another upper-level disturbance knocking on our door by Friday night, and will increase our shower or thundershower chances a bit over the weekend.  However, our most recent "disturbance" was unable to produce any significant rainfall, so at this point, I'm not getting excited about the next one.  More than likely, it will bring an increase in clouds, some gusty winds at times, and maybe a 30-40% chance of scattered thundershowers as it passes by.  It will also deliver another shot of slightly cooler air to keep us on the path toward winter's eventual arrival...
