seasonal boredom... (pm.07.nov.12)>

Wednesday's stats:

Early morning low temp: 51.3F (10.7C)
Afternoon high temp: 62.1F (16.7C)
Rainfall: none

All is quiet just after sunset this evening, after a very uneventful day.  Today has been one of the coolest days of the autumn season, but actually, temperatures haven't been as cool as I was expecting.

Fairly uniform conditions should persist right though the coming five days, with very little to be concerned or excited about.  A weak to moderate west-northwesterly flow in the upper atmosphere will bring a couple of very weak disturbances across the area between now and early next week -- the most significant perhaps on  Saturday -- but they should do nothing more than increase our afternoon cloudiness a bit.  It's going to be next to impossible to stir up any rainfall at all.

Believe it or not, we're still running just slightly warmer than normal for this stage of November, and I'm not seeing any dramatic deviations from that scenario during the coming days.  There is evidence of a subtle warming trend by Tuesday of next week, which we'll keep an eye on as the days go by.
