shower threat... (pm.17.dec.12)>

Monday's stats:

Early morning low temp: 44.4F (6.9C)
Afternoon high temp: 55.9F (13.3C)
Rainfall: none

Today's high temp was the warmest since last Monday (10th Dec), and it sure felt nice.  High clouds were on the increase gradually throughout the day, but sunshine was definitely the dominant feature until mid-afternoon.

Those high clouds are in advance of an upper-level disturbance heading our way for later tonight and Tuesday.  There's still no strong evidence to support anything more than a few mainly light showers in our area -- the most aggressive computer models are showing just 0.5-1.0cm (0.2-0.4"), while a couple of others are showing all of the measurable precipitation remaining up-mountain from us.  Don't expect anything of the magnitude we experienced late last week, but be prepared for the potential for some mainly light rain showers nonetheless.  Right now I would expect the best chance of rain to be between midnight tonight and early tomorrow (Tues) afternoon.

Very quiet, dry and generally sunny weather should prevail from Wednesday into the weekend.  Some of the lowest humidity levels of the season are expected, as temperatures balance out very close to normal for this time of year.
