fairly dull pattern... (pm.21.jan.13)>

Monday's stats:

Early morning low temp: 39.6F (4.2C)
Afternoon high temp: 50.9F (10.5C)
Rainfall: none

A beautiful sunset is in progress, thanks to some scattered high clouds just to our southwest this evening.  It's been a very nice day, by January standards, with sunshine and just a few high clouds, along with temps rising above 50F/10C for the first time since late last week when our winter storm was just starting to move in.

The only weather feature to keep our eye on during the next week or so is an upper-level disturbance which is still expected to drop in from the west-northwest very late tomorrow night through very early Thursday.  There's going to be very little moisture available for this system to work with, but computer models are hinting at the potential for some light precipitation nonetheless... most likely in the form of rain showers here, with some snow showers higher up.  At this point it appears than any rainfall we receive will be barely measurable, but keep advised of potential changes/adjustments to the forecast.

Other than that, things in the weather department should be pretty uneventful through the weekend into early next week, with temperatures fluctuating very little -- and running just a bit above normal for the final several days of January.
